Banksy the street artist

Banksy is an anonymous English writer. All we know about him is that he was born in Bristol and he started to write when he was 14 years old. He's considered the most famous "street writer" in the world. His career started in small crew called DryBreadZ with two of his artist friends in the 80's. Many years later he organised the first convention of graffiti writers in Bristol, he really had a lot of success, after that year he became one of the most known writers in Europe. Even after 39 years he's still doing his wonderful, full of significance drawings. Banksy also sells his works to the Hollywood stars, such as Brad Pitt, for a really high price. His most famous work is "Consumism Water Lily Pond" which represents Monet's masterpiece with a shopping trolley and a traffic cone into it.

Here is the original one.           Here is the "consumism" one.

Remembrance Day

The Remembrance Day, also known as "Poppy day", is the day that commemorates the ending of the First World War by the signing of the Armistice Treaty in a railway carriage in Compiègne Forest on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month 1918. This day is observed in all the Commonwealth countries since 1919. The main countries are: Canada, USA, UK, Germany, Austria, Ukrain, France and Luxemburg. However this commemorative day is celebrated in many different ways in the non-european countries of the Commonwealth, for example in Italy this commemoration is on 4th November and people remember all the dead, not only the soldiers died in this war.
